Install and log in

• Create your game account on the Register page.
• Download the L2 Frenzy installer. It sets up the game and the launcher for you.
• Already have an Interlude client? Download the System Folder patch and copy it over your client instead.
• Log in with your account and create your character. Read the Professions page first if you don't know what to pick.

Your first hour

• Giran is the main town. The GM Shop, NPC Buffer, Gatekeeper, Mammon and most custom NPCs are there.
• Visit the NPC Buffer before every hunt. All the important buffs, 2 hours long, free.
• The Gatekeeper is free to use. The special Gatekeeper also takes you to Catacombs/Necropolis, Primeval Island, Pagan's Entrance and Zaken's Ship.
• Skills are learned automatically and no spellbooks are needed. You never have to visit a skill trainer.
• Auto loot is on and there is no weight limit, so just keep hunting.
• Type .menu for your personal settings and .help to see every command.

Shift + left click any monster to see what it drops before you farm it.

Classic Interlude zones. Hunt with a party when you can: Party XP/SP is shared at retail rates and groups kill much faster.

Level faster

• Vote every 12 hours for free VIP time and boosted rates.
• Rune boosts (.rune) add bonus XP/SP, adena, drop, spoil, seal stones and quest rewards for a limited time.
• Change class as soon as you can: 1st and 2nd class need no quest, just adena at Hasha, the Class Manager.
• Monastery of Silence monsters take extra bow damage, and Imperial Tomb monsters take extra dagger damage on L2 Frenzy.
• Want to stop leveling (for a twink or a quest)? Use .xpoff, and .xpon to turn it back on.

Watch the grade penalty: D grade at 20, C at 40, B at 52, A at 61, S at 76. Wearing gear above your level weakens you.

Every day

Vote

Every 12 hours on all vote sites. Claim your Voter Coins at the Vote Manager, then spend them in GM Shop → Vote Reward (includes free 12h VIP).

Play

Every 20 minutes online gives 1 Event Medal, anywhere. Being AFK for 5+ minutes pauses the timer.

Events

Deathmatch and the Arena League also give Event Medals. Join with .join / .leave.

Spend

Trade Event Medals in GM Shop → Event (Hot Springs buff scrolls and more).

Making adena

• Spoil: Bounty Hunters collect crafting materials that always sell. Every clan needs one.
• Raid Tokens drop from level 60–80 Raid Bosses on top of normal loot. Trade them in the GM Shop for A/S recipes, Stakato Fangs, life stones and enchants.
• Offline shop: set up a private store and type .offline. Your shop stays open with your PC off.
• Double click 500,000,000 adena to turn it into a Gold Bar, and back again.

Disconnected? You have 10 minutes to come back without losing your Event Medal timer.

Getting gear

• The GM Shop sells gear up to B grade. A and S grade shots are sold at a higher price.
• A and S grade come from crafting, raids and drops. There are no custom items.
• Mammon (Giran) seals and unseals gear. S grade can't be equipped in the first month, A grade in the first 1.5 weeks.
• Trade adena plus several normal enchant scrolls in GM Shop → Scrolls for a Blessed scroll of the same grade.

Augments

• Life Stone skill chance: Normal 2%, Mid 4%, High 6%, Top 8%.
• Augmented weapons can't be traded.
• The Augment Transfer NPC moves the augment skill from one of your weapons to another.
• Exact augment values (Empower 15%, Might 7.5%, Focus 20% and more) are listed on the Features page.

Rules to know

• All epics and high-level raids are PvP zones (subclass and Noblesse bosses excluded).
• Bosses can't be healed or buffed by players.
• Bosses return home or stop chasing if you kite them too far.
• A server-wide announcement fires 15 seconds after an epic spawns.
• Frintezza needs 3 Command Channels instead of 4.
• Logged off in a PvP or epic zone for 15+ minutes? You're sent to town.
• No dualboxing at epic bosses.

Olympiad

• Opens after the first month. You must be Noblesse to join.
• Each cycle lasts 1 week: it starts Tuesday and ends Sunday at 23:59 UTC. Monday is a 24 hour validation day.
• Weapon and armor enchants count as +6 inside the arena.
• Live rankings update every 60 seconds on the Community Board (Alt+B).

Arena League

• Team tournament for level 76–80 characters, in 1v1, 3v3, 5v5 and 9v9 formats.
• Starts at 20:00 server time on event days. Register with .tournament or at the event NPC in Giran.
• Every participant gets an Event Medal, winners get more.

Deathmatch

PvP event that opens 1 week after the server launch. Watch for the announcement and type .join. It also gives Event Medals.

• Clan level 6 / 7 / 8 need only 10 / 60 / 80 members (retail: 30 / 80 / 120).
• The penalty for leaving or being kicked from a clan is 2 hours instead of 24.
• Clan leaders can set a member fee on a 7 or 14 day cycle with .clanfee.
• Make your clan and alliance crest in the browser with the Crest Maker.
• Check castle owners and the next siege dates on the Sieges page.
